A Third-Generation Paving Company

Unlike most other paving companies in the area, we’ve been around for three generations. JD Asphalt Inc. was originally founded by our grandfather way back in 1948! His story is the classic tale from that generation: He worked extremely hard, climbed the ladder, and found meaningful success as a small business owner. Believe it or not, he actually started out as a carpenter. Then, after a few twists and turns, he wound up working in the sealcoating trade, where he truly excelled. It wasn’t long before he made the natural progression from sealcoating to paving. This is when his combined passion for working outside, leading a team, and doing good work led him to start his own paving company. And the rest is history!
